A nice surprise

I often think I have the best boyfriend ever. I had to work today (as usual), but Travis had the day off. Just before 11:00am, the receptionist out front called and said that someone by the name of "Travis" was here to see me. I could not believe my eyes! He drove up to Fort Wayne on his day off to surprise me and take me to lunch. We went to a place called Casa! Ristorante (Italian) and it was so good. The food was good, yes, but the company was even better.

This is not the first time Travis has done something to surprise me. Just a few weeks ago, it was up to him to plan our date night on a Friday night. I mentioned the usual dinner and a movie, but then retracted my statement and left the planning up to him. In a sarcastic manner, I said, "Yeah, you can do whatever you want. Are you going to show up at my door on a white horse with a big bouquet of flowers?" He said he would do his best. :)

When I arrived home that evening, however, there he was asleep on my couch! No dinner. No movie. No flowers. I woke him up and he proceeded to tell me how he went to one of our favorite restaurants and was trying to order for both of us, but he couldn't remember what the dish I liked was called. Strike #1. He then went to Blockbuster and didn't know what kind of movie I wanted to watch, nor what I had/had not watched already. Strike #2. After poking fun and laughing at him for his sweet yet failed attempt, I went into the kitchen to put some dishes away. I peeked back into the living room and Travis had disappeared. I walked into the living room and started down the hallway, when out popped Travis with a HUGE bouquet of flowers! I was speechless!
