I got a call on my cell phone last Friday afternoon as I was out getting refueled with a Starbuck's Frappuccino. (I love having one three blocks from work!) I almost didn't pick up the call, but I surrendered to the gods of caller ID and answered.
"Hello?" I said.
"Hi, is this Kristi?" replied the female voice.
I responded very questionably, "Yes."
"Hi Kristi! This is Maria from the DMB Warehouse." (DMB Warehouse = Dave Matthews Band fanclub of which I have been a loyal member since March of 1999.)
"Oh! Hello!"
"I'm calling to let you know that you've been selected as one of the monthly click-in contest winners for the month of June. You have your choice of three prizes:..."
"Sweet!"
So, I chose my prize (a volume 5 CD of the Live Trax series which is the only one I don't have) thanked her, and told her she made my day!
I can now officially say, "I won something!"
