Many of you know that I am a die-hard Dave Matthews Band fan. Ever since I watched the video to the song "What Would You Say" back in 1994, I have been hooked. I can pinpoint the feeling I got when seeing the video for the first time, and how obessed, er, loyal, I have been since that moment. Eleven years and twenty-eight concerts later, I may finally have my chance to meet Mr. Dave Matthews himself.
I often browse the Oprah Winfrey show website just to see what Oprah's working on for her show. As I was browsing last week, there was a show topic idea that is titled, "Do you want to meet a hot celebrity?" I immediately thought of Dave. Over the years, I have met 3 of the 5 band members, but none of those 3 have been Dave. So, I'm going to work on a 10-minute video to try to get on Oprah! How cool would that be to meet Dave on Oprah?!
Yes, Miss Christin, I think I will tell him about the time you wanted to do something "crazy" at the DMB show you went to. Should I tell him you took off your shirt, then ran around the parking lot doing Chinese firedrills, only to have our car overheat and my parents come pick us up? I will never forget you repeating, "God is punishing us! God is punishing us!" Good times for all.

If ANYONE else told me they would try to win this contest...I would laugh and say what a waste of time. However, since it's YOU we are talking about here, I don't have a doubt in my mind that you are going to end up on Oprah meeting Dave.

PS. About the epidural comment...if you ever have one, you'll understand. I still say the anesthesiologist is my hero and friend for life. I vowed to send him a Chrsitmas present when I was in the delievery room... :)
