It's hard to believe you're 18 today! It seems like just yesterday Mom brought you home from the hospital (all10 lbs. 14 oz. of you)! Here are some highlights of the life of Charles "Chas" Kent Fields.
- You ate your own poop twice while going through the potty-training process. I forced you to wet yourself because I pinned you down and tickled you for long periods of time.
- There was the time you and Ryan Wright drew a line down every one of the pews in the sanctuary at Chapel Pike with a black crayon on a Saturday night. Everyone spent the next four hours scrubbing the pews with Goo Gone to get it out. The church still smelled like citrus on Sunday morning!
- There was the time you ran into a car with your face because Eric Gunyon was chasing you. Your front two teeth fell out when you were only 3 1/2.
- There was the time I was in high school and you in elementary that you wanted to hang out with my friends but I didn't want you to. You got mad at me and yelled, "FINE THEN! I won't let YOU hang out with MY friends!" You didn't understand that I didn't want to socialize with 2nd graders.
- Before you could really talk, you would call water "Ayye." (Similar to ice)
- You had a lisp until you were 6. It stopped when your baby teeth started falling out.
- You used to play "thwords (a.k.a. "swords")" and "gunths (a.k.a. "guns")"
- When you were born, you had long, straight black hair. That all fell out and blonde curls came in. As you have grown up and matured (ha!), it has darkened to brown curls. That is, when you let it grow out.
You are now 18, Chas, and a sister could not be more proud of her "little" brother! You rock and I love you!
