Tip on Clipping Coupons

I've been trying to save up more money than I normally do here lately. Ever since graduating college I've been clipping coupons to save a little extra cash. I think I've gone overboard, though

On average, I probably saved $6-$8 in coupons everytime I went to Wal-Mart to pick up supplies, groceries, etc. Last weekend, I decided I was going to stretch my money even a little further, and I went to Family Dollar (FD) instead of Wal-Mart (somewhat for my sanity, too). FD is only 3 blocks from my house, so I'm spending less money on gas too! Let me just tell you, FD is wonderful! I saved not only $8 with the coupons I had, but the prices on items such as laundry detergent and cleaning products are SO much cheaper than Wal-Mart. Most items at FD were $3 where at Wal-Mart they were $2.97, but that extra 3 cents is worth my sanity and gas money.

I have officially become the woman who uses coupons at the dollar store, and I'm not ashamed of it any longer! :)

I make it a point to never step foot in a Wal Mart. I am a much happier person these days.
