Josh Kelley and Jem

Last week, Andrea and I went to a concert in Indianapolis at the Music Mill, a small venue around Castleton. The musician we were there to see was a girl named Jem (yes, like the 90's cartoon). The opening act was a guy named Josh Kelley, who, in August of 2003, opened up for Dave Matthews Band in Portland, OR (I was there). Anyway, Andrea and I were talking to a photographer before the show. We asked if she was with the band, the venue, or a publication. She was, indeed, with the Music Mill and said she took pictures for many of the shows there.

Jump forward to the Josh Kelley set: Andrea and I were in the very front row. At one point during the concert, I was singing along at the top of my lungs and Josh noticed. Next thing I know, he pointed down at me, I pointed up at him, and he put the microphone in my face for me to sing! It was definitely a neat moment. Andrea sent me an email yesterday with the picture below. Evidently, during the intermission, the photographer told Andrea that she got a great shot of me singing! Andrea asked for her business card, and the photographer emailed her this picture!

It may not mean anything to anyone else, but I thought it was pretty cool! :)
